Sightseeing
in Tinsel Town
Hollywood legends
old and new abound in tinsel town. Don't miss the
"Walk of Fame" that extends a mile down
Hollywood Boulevard between Gower and La Brea.
Stars imbedded in
the sidewalk pay homage to celebrities past and
present. Check out the hand and footprints of the
famous ones at Mann's Chinese Theater.
While in Hollywood
make sure you see the Egyptian Theatre and the El
Capitan Theatre.
Check the pulse of
the city and visit downtown, where history, trade,
and high-rises merge. Take Angels Flight Railway
at Grand Avenue, visit the Music Center, MOCA, and
City Hall. Get tranquil with a trip to an inviting
garden atmosphere at the Japanese American
National Museum or the rooftop of the New Otani
Hotel in Little Tokyo.
Where to go
shopping in Los Angeles, where else but Beverly
Hills. You can't go home without a stroll down
Rodeo Drive and window-shopping. Hit Melrose near
the Pacific Design Center on Santa Monica
Boulevard for antiques and décor items. Don't
forget to save some room in your suitcase for all
those treasures.
In Universal City
visit Citywalk, where entertainment and shopping
merge in a three-block promenade. Catch a glimpse
of movie and television production at Universal
Studios Hollywood.
LA is a state of
mind and a state of discovery. Whatever your
heart's desire, you will find it here in the City
of Angels.
